Police say four people were assaulted in separate incidents early Wednesday morning.

Josue Fuentes Velasquez was arguing with a 25-year-old on man on East Street in Elmont when he allegedly hit a man in the back of the head with the bottle, according to police.

Velasquez is accused of punching another man in the face when he tried to stop the fight.

Police said a fight on Clinton Avenue in Inwood resulted in North Lawrence man hitting and choking another man. They say Alan Garcia attacked a 26-year-old and removed his chain.

Garcia has been charged with robbery and criminal obstruction of breathing.

In Roosevelt, an argument led to Ramon Blandon allegedly cutting another man's face with a box cutter, officers said.

Blandon pleaded not guilty to assault and weapons charges.

On Suggs Lane in Hicksville, a 31-year-old woman is accused of hitting another woman in the face.

Police say Stephanie Caballos and the 52-year-old victim were arguing before it became physical.

Both were taken to the hospital.

Police say that's where Caballos again became violent and then hit an officer in the face - causing swelling and bruising.

All four victims are expected to be OK.
