Prosecutors say the child’s mother, Valerie Owusu, and her boyfriend Emmanuel Addae beat her son, King, three years ago and let him suffer for days.
The couple left the boy at a relative’s home in Brentwood where he died from his injuries.
Owusu and Addae each face up to 25 years to life in prison when they are sentenced.
