A public hearing is set to be held Wednesday about proposed changes to the Town of Riverhead’s cannabis zoning laws.
Those looking to open a cannabis shop in the town currently cannot do it within 1,000 feet of a building operating as a residence.
The proposed amendment would create an exception for most business areas in the town.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at town hall.
