Demonstrators returned to the scene of some controversial arrests in East Meadow on Tuesday night.
Black Lives Matter protesters came out in full force to the same location where three demonstrators were arrested just days ago.
Cellphone video of the arrests has captured national attention on social media and sparked reviews by officials.
Police say the arrests were justified because the men had veered off route and into oncoming traffic.
State Attorney General Letitia James asked on Twitter that the video be sent to her office. James then held a public hearing on interactions between police and protesters.
A woman said during the hearing that she had her property damaged by an officer and was cursed at and injured by him at a New York City protest.
She then had a seizure and was transported from the protest to the hospital. She says weeks later, she is still suffering from physical and mental trauma.
James says that testimony given at the hearing could provide a basis for changing laws or policies in the state. Another public hearing is scheduled for Thursday due to the hundreds of complaints received from all over the state.
Nassau officials say there's also an internal investigation into the arrests.
