Apple supporters on Long Island and around the country protested against the FBI Tuesday night.
Concerned iPhone users gathered to support the technology company and rally against the FBI's demand for an iPhone "backdoor."
A week ago, a court order came down that attempted to force Apple to write software to unlock iPhones.
The FBI says it is trying to access encrypted data from the iPhone of deceased San Bernardino shooter Syed Farook.
Meanwhile, a new Pew research poll finds 51 percent agree with the FBI that Apple should unlock the iPhone.
The results are pretty evenly split between Democrats and Republicans and across all age levels.
About 38 percent said Apple should not unlock the iPhone while 11 percent were undecided.
Some family members of victims and survivors of the San Bernardino attack are filing court papers in support of the FBI's court order.
