5h agoPolice are trying to track down whoever is responsible for the unusual heist in Bay Shore of a pricy antique gun.
Detectives say the inoperable World War I era Maxim MG 08 machine gun was stolen from the roof of the Bay Shore Marine Corps League Detachment on Sunrise Highway.
The theft was reported on Saturday and the search continues Monday. The gun is worth about $20,000.
Anyone with information is asked to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
