It was a celebration of independent scripted television at the North Fork TV Festival.
"The NoFo TV Festival is one of the only places in the country where we feature and honor independently produced television pilots. We thought about this five years ago, that if you want to go out and create an independent TV pilot, there was nowhere to showcase it," says festival founder Noah Doyle.
This year, the fifth annual festival was a socially distant drive-in at Borghese Vineyard in Cutchogue.
Guests gathered staying safely in their cars to watch the winning independently produced pilots as well as virtual panels.
Jeremy Sisto was presented with the festival’s coveted Canopy Award for his outstanding contribution to the television industry.
The actor best known for his TV roles in "Suburgatory," "Law and Order," "6 Feet Under" and "FBI," which he stars in currently, sat down on stage with News 12's Elisa DiStefano for a candid conversation and inside look at his career.
If you’d like to see more and screen the pilots, News 12 has your VIP pass and front row seat - the special presentation will be on News 12+ on Nov. 7 at 7 p.m.
