Best wishes were given Saturday evening to a pastor from Smithtown recovering from COVID-19 at Stony Brook University Hospital.
A “prayer parade" took place outside the hospital for Doug Jansson, who has been hospitalized with the virus.
Doug's wife Kelly says the group is sending prayers to her husband, who is a pastor at Living Word Church in Hauppauge, and also to the doctors and nurses helping people who are battling the virus.
"He went from life support for six days, a ventilator for 13 days, to now being moved out of the ICU today, on his way to rehabilitation and eventually coming home to us," she says.
Doug led prayer parades last spring for people sick in the hospital with COVID-19.
