A powerful storm blew through Long Island Sunday night, leaving behind damage and causing power outages across the area.
Rain and strong wind gusts knocked down a large tree that fell on power lines in Garden City.
Video taken on New Hyde Park Road shows a tree completely blocking the road.
In Suffolk County, multiple trees took down wires and knocked out power in Ridge.
The storm also triggered a tornado warning in Suffolk County. The tornado warning covered parts of Coram and Centereach. It was extended out toward Riverhead.
Meanwhile, PSEG Long Island says it's working to assess the damage and get power back to everyone.
At the height of the storm more than 10,000 people were without power, according to PSEG Long Island's website.
If you lost power, you can report the outage on the utility's website or call 1-800-490-0075.
