PSEG Long Island held its Power to Feed food drive outside of the Stop & Shop in Levittown on Friday.
The event is a joint effort between PSEG Long Island and Island Harvest. It aims to collect household items, pet food and nonperishables.
“We do the collection over the summer so we can help fill our local pantries' shelves. So many people are in need of help and food this summer,” said Bena Halloran of Island Harvest.
“Food insecurity is a major issue on Long Island and that's why it's something we got behind,” said Mike Presti of PSEG Long Island.
Officials say there will be other drop-off donation locations on different days. For more information, click
