A summerlong campaign to help feed families on Long Island is underway in Massapequa.
PSEG Long Island, Island Harvest and Stop and Shop are joining forces to launch the second annual Power to Feed Long Island initiative.
Anyone can donate food and nonperishable items at several Stop and Shop collection drives across the Island.
During the summer months, there is a significant drop in donations to local food banks, pantries and programs.
This year's goal of 30,000 meals marks Island Harvest's 30th anniversary.
