Power is being restored after more than 7,000 outages were reported in the areas around Westbury, Plainview and Old Bethpage Monday morning. PSEG Long Island says it was a transmission line outage.

Power is being restored after more than 7,000 outages were reported in the areas around Westbury, Plainview and Old Bethpage Monday morning.
PSEG Long Island says it was a transmission line outage.
The outage also knocked out traffic lights during the morning rush.
One viewer told News 12 that backed up traffic getting off the Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway and onto Old Country Road in Hicksville was more than 50 cars long.
