Power companies eye drone use in operations
Officials say power companies across America could begin to use drones in the daily operations someday.
Some utilities like PSEG Long Island are considering using drone technology to inspect transmission towers, powerlines and wind turbines.
The companies say aerial inspections would be safer.

Drone inspections could cost $300 to conduct. The price is a lot less than today's $10,000 human inspections that include having workers hang from towering facilities.
The FAA is considering allowing more companies to use drones.
