Potvin Socks! Islanders legend turns derisive Rangers chant into opportunity to help kids

The Islanders are rolling out socks that say "Potvin Socks," featuring the former Islanders captain at Wednesday's Islanders-Rangers game. A portion of the proceeds go to benefit the Islanders Children's Foundation, according to the team.

Potvin and the Islanders are rolling out socks that say "Potvin Socks," featuring the former Islanders captain at Wednesday's Islanders-Rangers game. A portion of the proceeds go to benefit the Islanders Children's Foundation, according to the team.
"You've been chanting it for 43 years ... now you can wear it!" Potvin himself says in a video tweeted out by the Islanders.
The socks are available at the Isles Lab store at UBS Arena and online.
