Pothole Patrol: Viewers agree – Route 107 is a ‘horror’ of dangerous craters

A spokesperson told News 12 preliminary work has begun and the DOT is expecting to do major work later this year.

News 12 viewers have spoken: Hicksville Road (Route 107) in Massapequa is a “horror” of dangerous potholes.
#Thunderbolt12 was there on Thursday afternoon after receiving multiple callouts online from fed up motorists.
Even some drivers passing by the News 12 crew on site urged for the road to be repaired.
"I feel the road is dangerous,” says Maria Merz. She called the potholes on the roadway “unavoidable” and called for it to be repaved.
News 12 asked the state Department of Transportation to provide a repair plan for the roadway.
A spokesperson told News 12 preliminary work has begun and the DOT is expecting to do major work later this year.
