Heat and humidity continue into Wednesday, possible showers tomorrow night in Brooklyn

Temperatures across the borough will be in the high 80s and low 90s with Wednesday and Thursday feeling warmer than what temperatures actually are.

The main chance for mid week weather involves the return of rain chances, with the possibility of afternoon and evening scattered showers and storms. Shower and storm chances continue for Thursday as well.
High heat sticks with us for the rest of the work week. Temperatures across the borough will be in the high 80s and low 90s with Wednesday and Thursday feeling warmer than what temperatures actually are.
One of the brightest meteor showers of the year is in its peak tonight and tomorrow night! However the combination of light pollution in our borough and a near full moon will drown out a lot of our ability to see this celestial delight.
We are heading towards the peak of hurricane season next month. An increase in activity in the Atlantic is normal for this time of year, and we are monitoring Tropical Storm Erin which is set to potentially be the first major hurricane of the season. It is still too early to determine the exact track and specific impacts (if any) for our area-- especially for coastal impacts and rip current concerns.
OVERNIGHT: Mostly clear, quiet and muggy. Lows in the 70s.
WEDNESDAY: Hot and humid to start with showers and storm chance for the afternoon and evening. Highs in the high 80s and low 90s, lows in the middle 70s.
THURSDAY: Storm chances continue. Highs in the upper 80s, lows in the low 70s.
FRIDAY: Sunny and dry! Highs in the high 80s, lows in the low 70s.
THE WEEKEND: High 80s, combo of sun and clouds. Late weekend/early week shower chances possible, but will be clearer as we get closer.
