Police are searching for a man who may be trying to lure kids into his car in Stewart Manor.

Investigators say an 11-year-old boy was walking on Chester Avenue Friday when a driver pulled up alongside him. The boy fled on foot but was followed by the driver until the child met up with a group of kids.

Police are looking for a maroon vehicle, possibly a Subaru or Hyundai. Sources say the car is rusty and has items hanging from the mirror.

The driver is described as being in his 60s with long gray hair.
