Two elderly nuns are recovering after a fire at their convent in Port Jefferson.Authorities say the blaze broke out around 5 p.m. Sunday at the Daughters of Wisdom Convent on the grounds of St. Charles Hospital.According to authorities, one of the nuns managed to escape the fire. The second nun was rescued by firefighters after she became trapped.The nuns were taken to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and minor burns.Investigators say they believe the fire was caused by a burning candle, which set a Christmas decoration in the prayer room ablaze.
