A well-known Suffolk County eatery is closing up shop for good.
Bird & Bao, an Asian-fusion restaurant in Patchogue, made the announcement on Instagram Wednesday.
After 7 years in business, Chris Swanson, owner of the downtown favorite says it’s time for a new chapter.
The takeout spot on South Ocean Avenue was known for its different kinds of bao buns, rice bowls, and wraps.
“Thank you to everyone who ate with us, supported us, worked alongside us, and helped make this place what it was. I’m incredibly proud of what we built and grateful for every memory,” the social media post said.
Swanson, a Long Island native who opened the restaurant in 2019, has not said what might be next for him.
