Pop-up vaccine site in Nassau aims to get shots into vulnerable community

Officials say they are working to bring more pop-up locations across Long Island. There was no word yet on when or where the next one will be.

Members of Gov. Andrew Cuomo's administration are visiting a community pop-up COVID-19 vaccination site in Nassau.
They were at the Gateway Christian Center in Valley Stream where vaccine administrators planned to distribute 250 doses.
Karim Camara is the executive director of the Governor's Office of Faith-Based Community Development Services. He says their mission was to get the word out about the vaccine in a vulnerable community.
“To let them know that this is not any trick, no hoax – this is about saving lives," he says.
