Problems arose at some poll sites in the Bronx at the start of Primary Day today.

City Councilman Fernando Cabrera, who is a primary candidate, was told his registration information was missing as he arrived at P.S. 310 to vote. After an hour of searching, poll workers realized two pages were missing from the voter registration books.

Cabrera says it is possible that the confusion may be in part due to the recent change of assigned poll sites. He says the incident is an example of why people sometimes lose confidence in the process.

Cabrera waited for more than two hours for the missing records. He was finally able to vote, but says he is worried many may be sitting this one out.

The Board of Elections printed out and distributed new voter registration books to P.S. 310 and two other polling sites in the Bronx.

Despite the hiccup and turnout concerns, Cabrera says he is feeling confident that he will win today.
