A new poll shows that most Long Islanders believe Donald Trump is not fit to be president of the United States.
The News 12/Hofstra University poll found that nearly 56 percent of those surveyed felt the business mogul is unfit for the job.
Another 34 percent of responders disagreed and said they believed Trump is fit. The other 10 percent were undecided.
The results come as voters learn more about the Republican front-runner's foreign policy agenda. In a recent New York Times interview, Trump turned heads by saying he's willing to let countries like Japan and South Korea develop their own nuclear warheads.
Trump added that such nations would want to have nuclear weapons anyway if the U.S. continues on its "current path of weakness."
