Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that happened in Massapequa Park this morning.
According to police, the 27-year-old female pedestrian was crossing Sunrise Highway at Park Boulevard around 4:45 a.m. when she was hit by a tow truck. The woman's identity has not been released.
Police say the tow truck driver remained at the scene, and no charges have been filed.
Eastbound Sunrise Highway was closed for hours during the morning rush, but has since reopened.
