Police: Woman critically injured in Bellport crash

The driver of the Nissan was airlifted to Stony Brook Hospital.

A woman was critically injured in a chain reaction crash on Sunrise Highway in Bellport Thursday, police say.
Police say Brigitte Lituma, 25, of Bellport, was driving a Nissan that hit a Ford while merging on Horseblock Road.
A good Samaritan saw the incident and stopped to help.
News 12 is told a Kia then slammed into the Nissan, which then crashed into that good Samaritan’s car.
Lituma was airlifted to Stony Brook Hospital. 
The driver of the Ford, Andres Guapacha, 41, of Coram, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue for treatment of minor injuries. The driver of the Kia, Ronald Jewell, 75, of Patchogue, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue for treatment of minor injuries. Sperling, 17, of Bay Shore, and the other passenger of the Toyota were not injured.
