Police say a wife accidentally struck her husband with a car in Ronkonkoma on Wednesday night.

According to police, the 68-year-old woman allegedly began backing out of a parking spot off Lakeland Avenue while her husband was still outside the car. Police say the 80-year-old husband was hit by an open car door.

The woman kept going, hit two parked cars and drove over a curb.

Both were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital.

The husband is in serious condition. The wife's condition is not known.
