Police say a teen from Wantagh was shot and killed Saturday night at a party in Brooklyn.

NYPD officials say Philip Levy died after being shot in the head at a party in the Bensonhurst section of the borough.

Police say a friend of Levy's, 33-year-old Scott Bruno, pulled out a gun and fired several shots into the wall of his Bensonhurst apartment. One of those bullets appears to have missed the wall and hit the 17-year-old Levy, police say.

Bruno has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon, but the NYPD says an investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
