Surveillance video shows four suspects the NYPD says is connected to a string of robberies in Crotona Park and Soundview.
Police report a total of eight robberies, with two of them happening in Starlight Park. The burglars have been targeting pedestrians and stealing jewelry, electronics and wallets.
Officers say none of the victims were hurt.
Police have some tips to help Bronx residents stay alert if they find themselves in an unsafe place. They say to keep your wallet in your front pocket, as it's easier for thieves to pick it from the back pocket. They also say you should hold onto your cellphone and keep it out of reach when you're not using it. Lastly, police advise making sure to keep your purse closed and close to yourself.
