Police say a Uniondale woman has been arrested in an assault on a teenager.

Detectives say Armanda Valles, 30, got into an argument with a 19-year-old last Wednesday night in front of her home.

Police say Valles hit the teen in the legs with brass knuckles and took out a knife and slashed her in the leg as she tried to run away.

The 19-year-old was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition.

Valles was arrested shortly after.
