Police say a teen and his passengers were hurt after he tried to get away from a Suffolk County patrol officer.
According to police, an officer tried to stop the driver for speeding just before 8 p.m. Monday on the Long Island Expressway.
Police say the teen pulled over, then suddenly took off at 80 mph on Nicolls Road then Express Drive North.
The teen's SUV rolled over as he tried to avoid hitting other cars.
The 19-year-old has a leg injury and is charged with unlawful fleeing. His two passengers have minor injuries.
