yesterdayOfficers will be on the scene at Riverhead Charter School this morning after a teen allegedly made a threat to the school on social media.
Riverhead police tell News 12 they were notified of the threat Wednesday and found nothing suspicious after searching the school.
After an investigation, they arrested a 14-year-old from Calverton for making a threat of mass harm.
The teen is due in court at a later date.
Riverhead police tell News 12 they will be patrolling the school today at the request of school officials.
