Police are seeking a suspect in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a pedestrian Saturday night in Central Islip.

Authorities say Hillary Day, 66, was walking on the westbound shoulder of West Suffolk around 9 p.m. when a car struck her and then left the scene.

The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment following the crash.

The car is described as a gold-colored sedan, according to police.
