Police: Suffolk officer injured in Bay Shore hit-and-run involving landscaping truck

Police say the truck that hit the squad car was previously reported stolen.

A Suffolk County police officer was hospitalized Friday following a hit-and-run crash involving a landscaping truck, police say.
They say that truck hit the officer's vehicle and drove off in Bay Shore at around 9:30 a.m. on June Court.
Police say the truck that hit the squad car was previously reported stolen.
It's not clear how badly the officer was injured.
Anyone with information on the crash is urged to call police.
