A woman was found dead inside a Bay Shore apartment, and her son says he is the one who killed her.

Police arrived to the scene at the Bay Shore Apartments on East Main Street Tuesday at around 4 p.m. and found 70-year-old Barbara Lawson dead.

Police say 24-year-old Logan Lawson called police to say he had killed his mother.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

Logan will be arraigned later today on manslaughter charges.
