A small plane landed right in the middle of busy Sunrise Highway Wednesday afternoon.
Chopper 12 was over the scene near Horseblock Road in the Yaphank area at Exit 57.
Suffolk Police Assistant Commissioner Justin Meyer says the pilot was the lone occupant and was uninjured.
He says the pilot was headed to Brookhaven Calabro Airport.
The FAA is investigating.
