1h agoA Shelter Island woman is seriously hurt after being hit by a delivery truck.
Police say it happened Friday on Gardiner's Bay Drive just north of Ram Island Drive.
They say 66-year-old Lucille Morgan was walking with a reflective safety vest and using a light around 5 p.m. when the truck driver became distracted and struck her.
She suffered serious head and body trauma.
The incident is under investigation.
