Detectives say 62-year-old Sheila Black was last seen in Hempstead Monday just before 5 p.m.
She was wearing a blue scarf on her head and a red jacket while carrying a reusable Stop & Shop grocery bag.
Her destination is unknown, according to authorities.
Police ask anyone with information to contact the Nassau County Police Department Missing Persons Squad at (516) 573-7347 or call 911.
