Nassau police are searching for a man they say has robbed five banks in the last two weeks.
Police say the suspect began the string of robberies on March 11 and has hit banks in Greenvale, Plainview, Hicksville, Syosset and, most recently, Carle Place. Investigators say the man hands the bank teller a note demanding cash and then escapes on foot. Police say he wears a mask that covers his eyes, and oftentimes customers do not even realize the bank is being robbed.
Police ask anyone with information to call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
