Police are investigating a string of car vandalisms that has targeted an Elmont community.

According to police, 20 vehicles on Stone Street had windows shot out by a BB gun. Cars on more than eight streets in the community have also had the windows shot out over past few nights. Police say no one was hurt and nothing was stolen, but residents have suffered thousands of dollars in damage.

Similar incidents have recently occurred in Hicksville and Levittown, but in those cases items were stolen from the vehicles. Police are investigating if any of the BB gun shootings are related.
