Franklin Avenue in Belleville has reopened after a school bus veered off the road and crashed early this morning.
There is a hole in the fence to Hendricks Field Golf Course, and that’s where the bus ended up. The bus was empty other than the driver.
Police say the driver suffered some sort of medical emergency before swerving and crashing into the fence.
The driver was taken by ambulance to Clara Maas Hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.
Traffic was halted for almost two hours. The bus has since been towed away.
No other cars were involved, and there were no other injuries reported.
