An armed robbery attempt was foiled in Suffolk, thanks to a quick-thinking cashier who got help from a customer.
Investigators say that Rebecka Diaz went into a Coram 7-Eleven, pulled out a gun and told the cashier to fill her backpack with money.
When a customer walked in, police say Diaz put the gun back in her bag and the clerk saw an opportunity to grab it.
The clerk tossed the bag to the customer, who then tossed it back to him. They kept throwing the bag back and forth until Diaz gave up and took off, according to police.
Diaz was apprehended and arrested shortly after fleeing the scene.
