Police are trying to figure out if two home invasions that took place Thursday are related.
According to police, four men walked through an unlocked door of a home just after midnight on North Wyoming Avenue in North Massapequa. Police say they terrorized four people in the home with a hammer and demanded drugs. The thieves pushed one woman to the floor and stole cash and a cell phone.
Less than a half-hour later, five men went through an unlocked window of a home on Cabota Avenue in Copiague. Police say they terrorized five men in the home with a hammer and one victim lost two teeth in the attack. The thieves got away with cash, cell phones, computers and a safe.
