Police say one person is in serious condition after being hit by a car in North Amityville.
The incident happened on Route 110 just before 11 p.m. Thursday.
News 12 Long Island has learned the 46-year-old man was struck by a Nissan being driven southbound, just south of Brefni Street.
The man was rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip and is expected to survive.
The driver stayed at the scene and is not facing charges.
