Sweet traditions are front and center this season at Riesterer’s Bakery in West Hempstead, a bakery where Easter treats are being made fresh every day. The bakery has been a local favorite since 1931, making it one of the oldest on Long Island.
From decorated cakes to classic holiday desserts, one standout this year is their handcrafted three-inch to three-foot chocolate Easter bunnies! The bakery makes thousands of them each season.
Behind the scenes, staff are busy getting ready for the holiday rush while also dealing with rising ingredient costs. Even so, they’re focused on keeping the same quality customers know and love.
