Police say a pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a car in New Hyde Park.
Detectives tell News 12 the incident happened Sunday just after 8 p.m.
Police say a 69-year-old man was hit on Hillside Avenue near North 4th Street by a man driving a 2016 Chrysler.
News 12 has been told the pedestrian was seriously injured and rushed to the hospital.
The driver remained at the scene and is not facing any charges at this time.
An investigation is ongoing.
