Police: Pedestrian hit, killed by EMS vehicle in Babylon

Police say an EMS rescue vehicle fatally struck a pedestrian Wednesday night in Babylon. According to police, Meade Pilaccio, of West Babylon, was crossing Park Avenue around 10 p.m. when he was hit.

Police say an EMS rescue vehicle fatally struck a pedestrian Wednesday night in Babylon.
According to police, Meade Pilaccio, of West Babylon, was crossing Park Avenue around 10 p.m. when he was hit.
The EMS vehicle belongs to the Babylon Fire Department. The driver was responding to an emergency call at the time and the vehicle's lights were activated.
