Police say Lawrence Quintyne, of California, was crossing the street at the intersection of Ocean and Johnson avenues when he was hit by a car.

Police say Lawrence Quintyne, of California, was crossing the street at the intersection of Ocean and Johnson avenues when he was hit by a car.
The incident happened around 3:30 a.m.
Police say Quintyne was taken to the hospital.
The driver, a 60-year-old man from Ronkonkoma, was not hurt.
