A man is dead after being hit by a car in Riverhead.
Police say the unidentified victim was hit on West Main Street just before 9 p.m. Saturday.
The driver stayed at the scene and no charges have been filed.
Witnesses are being asked to call Riverhead police at 631-727-4500. The extension is 321.
