Police say a woman was fatally struck by a car in Hempstead.
News 12 has been told the 55-year-old woman was walking at the intersection of Greenwich Street and Grove Street Tuesday night when she was hit by a car. The car was driven by a 76-year-old man.
The woman died at the hospital.
The driver stayed at the scene and is not facing charges at this time.
