Police say a Southampton man was struck and killed by a
LIRR train.
Police say
57-year-old Rodney Brumsey was crossing the train tracks near North Bishop and
Moses lanes Wednesday afternoon around 3:40 p.m.
According to police, the train was traveling eastbound
when the engineer noticed the man crossing -- immediately signaling a warning
horn.
Officials say the train was unable to stop in time,
fatally striking him.
MTA police say they are now conducting the investigation.
