A Patchogue man was arrested for driving drunk with his 5-month-old son inside the car Saturday in Melville, according to police.
Authorities say Angel Abadcando was rear-ended after he stopped short around 2:15 a.m. on the Long Island Expressway.
Officers responding to the scene noticed he exhibited signs of intoxication and took him into custody.
Police say no injuries were reported. Abadcando is set to be arraigned Sunday in Central Islip.
The charges against him include driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger 15 years or younger and endangering the welfare of a child.
